A Visit to Harmen Liemburg's Studio

I first found out about Dutch graphic artist and screenprinter Harmen Liemburg a few years ago when he was a resident faculty member at MCAD and brought his screenprinting class over for a tour of the Burlesque print shop. Since then I've been following his fantastic, brightly-colored, pop-culture-saturated, collage-heavy designs on his website, where he also documents his inspirations and design process for most of his projects. Back in April 2011, my wife and I took a trip to Amsterdam. When I told Harmen I was going to be in town, he invited us to check out his studio, which is right in the middle of a largely artist-populated warehouse district, accessible by ferry from the Northern edge of Amsterdam's central district.
