In the Fall of 2021, we received an email from an artist in San Francisco asking our permission to paint her own version of our MF DOOM poster that Wes and Mike designed back in 2004. We took one look at her work and immediately gave her our blessing. We've since become official fans of the extremely talented Emily Frommand her unique + fun illustration style and we are excited to announce our first official print release with her!
Her original painting "$1 Pizza Slice, Brooklyn" was made in 2020 in reference to a photograph she took at 1278 Fulton Street in Brooklyn, New York in 2019. Painted to reflect the colorful large-scale signage which adorns the block and dense, diverse crowds which thrive within the neighborhood, this artwork offers a vivid snapshot in time for locals and visitors alike. 24 x 13" 7-color screen print on heavyweight white cotton paper signed and numbered edition of 45 prints
