Between the 4th and 10th of December, Minneapolis' own almighty Doomtree crew fully stomped seven new holes into First Avenue and 7th Street Entry. Shake 'N Bake: DONUTS

Hungry? Watch the latest episode of Shake 'N Bake and you will be. Our buds Eunice, Doomtree's P.O.S, and Broken Crow's John Grider are cookin' up a nice big batch of donuts. High five to John for rockin' our Censored Rap Video shirt! Pay close attention to the tunes that Get Cryphy DJs / BRLSQ male models Last Word and Plain Ole Bill are dropping throughout the video. Very clever, those two.

Doomtree Blowout 6 print
Artist: Mike Davis

After weeks and weeks bringing their high-powered rap variety show across all points of North America, Minneapolis' beloved Doomtree crew brought it all back home to First Avenue for their sixth annual Blowout. All members of the crew (P.O.S, Dessa, Sims, Cecil Otter, Mike Mictlan, Paper Tiger, and Lazerbeak) took to the stage with a whole assortment of backup musicians and special guests.

This Blowout weekend happened to coincide with Minneapolis' great SNOWPOCALYPSE and due to many fans being unable to traverse the snow for Friday and Saturday's shows, a THIRD night was added on Sunday!

Eight Is Enough print
Artist: Mike Davis

Are we better off than we were 8 years ago? It's time to get these elephant bozos out of Washington before they rot our country back to the stone ages. This poster was designed by Mike Davis for the Eight Is Enough conert in St. Paul MN, held just days before the 2008 Republican National Convention kicked off in the same city. Twin Cities musical artists Low, Dosh, P.O.S, and Burlesque's own DJs Winship and Mike 2600 had the Turf Club bursting at the seams with hopeful young rock and rap enthusiasts for what all considered to be a huge success of a rock show!

Minnesota Migration
Artist: Wes Winship, Mike Davis, Dan Black

This poster was created for one of our SXSW 2008 events, a collaborative showcase between Modern Radio Records and Burlesque. A bunch of our favorite Modern Radio acts and other Twin Cities groups played an outdoor showcase down in Austin and rocked it in the pocket. BRLSQOTHEQUE DJs (Mike 2600 & Wezz Winship) spun rap and funk tunes inbetween sets. The artwork for the print was a three-way collaboration between Burlesque's Wes and Mike and our talented friend Dan Black from Landland.

Doomtree Blowout 3
Artist: Wes Winship, Mike Davis

In case you don't live in Minneapolis or have been living underneath some kind of rap rock (not to be confused with Limp Bizkit's spine-tingling brand of "rock-rap"), Doomtree is kinda doin' it real big with the multi-rapper crew explosion. Each year, all members collide and erupt for Twin Cities underground hip hop fanatics and Wes and Mike designed the poster for said collision. Booooom here it is!

Doomtree: Friday The 13th
Artist: Wes Winship, Mike Davis

It's not every day that the entire Doomtree crew gets together to perform as an entire crew. In fact, it's like twice a year at most. It's also not every day that said show falls on a Friday the 13th and Mike and Wes get to design the accompanying poster. It's part Wild Style, part horror show, part psychedelic mash out, all screenprinted craziness.
