FOUR BOOBS SHIRT
If you haven't guessed it yet by the "Big Bird with Boobs" sticker or the "Oscar the Grouch with Boobs" sticker or the "Safe Place (Between some boobs)" sticker, Todd Bratrud, umm, well, he really likes boobs. Enough to point out to the world that there is one simple truth we can all have faith in: that four boobs are, indeed, better than two. Heck, when the ladies sport this shirt, you've got SIX boobs right there! It's brilliant, is what it is.

LA FAMILIA
There are two main audiences for this newest example of Todd Bratrud's art print prowess: those who are really stoked about Steve Nesser returning to the Twin Cities and opening La Familia Skate shop and those who want to put a lovely piece of art on their walls that will help their cranially conjoined twin children with a stabbing problem feel that they are a normal, integrated part of society - so much so, in fact, that their ilk have been immortalized in high culture. Okay, maybe there's a third audience: those of you whole love vaguely twisted and totally kick ass art prints, especially those that are drawn by Bratrud, screenprinted in 6 full colors by Winship, signed and numbered on the front in an edition of 101, and so very scarce that Burlesque only has like 20 of 'em to sell. ANDREW BIRD EARLY FALL
Second verse, same as the first!= Well, not quite - the late fall version is still the same size, but has the color scheme switched up to reflect our Minnesotan fall sensibilities - as time wears on, the colors deepen, greens and golds give way to oranges and browns, and we're just about to "white season," which, of course, lasts around 9 months, give or take three months. This is the version our

SUNN0))) / BORIS
MAY 2006 TOUR

Okay, I have to admit, you're sitting there rocking out to Boris (in a manner probably resembling a seizure, given the constraints of chair-rocking) and you're like,"This seriously can't get any cooler. How could it? The rocking is unstoppable!" But then, Boris is done, you're like, "Okay, I'm fully rocked... what next?" And then the whole place goes black except for a slight part in the giant two-story tall black velvet stage curtains, and smoke, piles of smoke, starts pouring out of that glowing blue gap in the
curtains, and the ground starts shaking and you're fairly sure that somewhere else in the museum (did I mention that, in this little flight of
fancy, you're currently ensconced in the womb-like theater of the new Walker Arts Center in Minneapolis? Cuz you are...) there's like a giant
priceless sculpture crashing to the floor and shattering into a million pieces, and, well, you're in the presence of Sunn O))).

So, yeah... umm, Aaron and Wes made a poster. It's quite large and has a thistle on it and
it took 10 screens to print the sucker and it's for sale at the deliciously evil price of $36.66 and you should check it out. 8 colors (10 screens!). Edition of 212 (160 unsigned, unnumbered ones were sold on tour), s/n on the front, stamped Black Osprey on the back. Limit of 2 per customer (if you're already a subscriber, you can only order 1).

14"x39"
8 color print on French paper.
SOLD OUT.

A word of caution: Aaron called to say that UPS
had dropped one box on its corner, resulting in a small crinkle (1)(2) on one corner of the majority of the prints. Aaron assured us that it will be framed-out easily by any matte and should not be a problem. We're showing you the worst of the batch. The crinkle is barely noticeable on most of the posters.

RACEBANNON
With a US tour in full swing and Europe up next, Racebannon are on the takeover, with the Gospel at their sides, and Horkey jumped at the chance to do an old-style freeform-splatter-psych workup for them. The advertising posters for the show made it a little easier with a line of straight up text across the bottom, but this here's the all-art, all-the-time version. Mogwai's on tour (all the way from Scotland!) to promote their awesome new record "Mr. Beast." Aaron cranked up the headphones and dented his fingers yet again to turn out a beautiful piece in honor of a great band, Wes ruined his poor eyeballs separating the layers and his poor hands printing the posters, and Letta will carefully roll each one in a tube and send it to you. Do you see how much we love the rock?

We're enforcing a limit of two per customer. You might try to be sneaky and put in an order for more than two, but we'll be really sweet and refund the money for any over a pair.

Our friend Erik Westra at the Empty Bottle hipped us to this great new band that has been blowing the F up as of late due to their excellent debut album and riveting live shows, of which they seem to be doing many. The name "Baroque Disco" came up when trying to describe them recently but that may not be accurate at all... Maybe more Neutral Milk Hotel and Pixies with occasional dance beats.

Anyways, Erik had us do the posters for the two Chicago shows they were playing. He said "Why don't you do two posters that when you put them together form on big image?" So that's what we did. KHANATE & EARTH w/ ASVA
They should have called these shows "Clash of the Titans" or "Monsters of Rock" but wait, that would have been played out. Mr. O'Malley from Sunn0))) and Khanate asked us if we'd like to do a poster for these special shows in Portland, OR and Seattle, WA. Khanate's music makes slow an extreme by placing so much space between each scream, drum hit, and guitar chord that you feel the music just might cave in on you. Earth is the infamous Dylan Carson. He, and at times with collaborators that have included Kurt Cobain and Joe Preston, has created some of the most influential guitar drone that the kids are so crazy about these days. Asva is a new band made up of ex-members of Burning Witch, Sun City Girls, Mr. Bungle and a shit load of others. All signs point to Doom!

(Oh yeah, that's a rotting whale diving to the bottom of the sea that Mr. Horkey illustrated along with the letters. Wes added the escaping gas bubbles and color)

MAGNETIC FIELDS
Poster commissioned for a series of five sold-out performances in Chicago, IL. Missed the shows? Here's your chance to get a poster and pretend you were there. This is a collaboration between Aaron "I draw nice letters" Horkey and Wes "I looked through the U of M library for hours to find that image of the largest transformer, circa 1910" Winship. The imagery in the poster is our attempt at capturing the spirit of Stephin Merritt's music - at once nostalgic and progressive.

SUNN0)))
Sunn0))) may be the heaviest band on the planet. And not in that pussy death metal type of way. This is pure low-end over indulgence. This show was on the fourth of July and instead of watching fireworks, Andrew of Fog and I spent it standing by the stage, earplugs jammed into our ears as we were washed over by wave after wave of lower intestinal rumble. It actually felt like you could lean in and be supported by the sound. You know, like when you do those trust seminars and they make you close your eyes and just fall over and the group catches you? Kind of like that. This poster is big and four colors and was a complete pain in the ass to print but well worth it. Design by Wes and illustration by Aaron Horkey.

This was a tag team effort between Mr. Aaron Horkey and Mr. Wesley Winship. Aaron brought the lettering and Wes added the bug swarm (nearly 100 bugs!). The show was great, not only were San Diego's Locust good, so were Your Enemies' Friends, The Oath, And the Plot To Blow Up The Eiffel Tower (still not enough dancing by Minneapolis hipster punk rockers though). Three-color print on charcoal brown paper.
