i was about to tap-in with some of my own “2009″ stuff, but as it turns out i have H1N1 so my brain is functioning even crummier than usual. sooooooo, this is what you get… i set up a dumb little tumblr page a bit ago to let my family and friends see where i was and what i was up to. its actually the Rated G version of what im up to  as my relatives look at it and i doubt they would approve of even a fraction of the stupid shit i do to amuse myself. at any rate, this is my half assed attempt at talking a little about the last few months of MY 2009 filtered through a little swine flu…

This past Saturday, after all the crazy Craft-O-Rama madness, my favorite hip-hop crew got together for the 5th annual Doomtree Blowout at First Ave.

Our Flatstock crew has returned to our desks and our presses after a fun filled weekend at Bumbershoot. Many thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth, shared drinks and laughs with us, the wonderful Larsen family for putting up with our posse, Sarah Silverman!, the folks at API for putting together another great Flatstock event, and all the great musicians we saw at Bumbershoot. so im trying to get back on the blog tip these days, i have a few i contribute to, the one that used to get the most attention and the bulk of photos posted on it was the Skateboard MAG blog, so im making an effort to post things on there every few days. ive been on the road steady for the past almost half a year i think, and i have photos of a lot of the goings on. i would imagine you wont care about most of the stuff i post, but here and there there might be a gem, so go kill some time…

i had to dip outta the states for a minute and get back to my roots with some raw watercolor paintings, best place to REALLY watercolor paint the way God intended you ask? the Cayman Islands…

expect not to see any of the paintings i make anywhere ever, im stuffing each painting into a empty bottle then throwing that bottle to the hammerhead sharks that patrol the waters of this place. its like one of those time capsules, once the greys come and vaporize our little planet in a few weeks, they will find my paintings in the bellies of… alright, ive been alone in the hot sun on hidden beaches for far too long, im outta here. werd life.

i got axed to do this little project for RedBull a little bit back, the thing was to create 250 pieces of art for RedBull to use as Valentines Day gifts for a bunch of the people they deal with in one way or another. so what i did was make 6 x 6 inch screen prints of the black line art for 8 different hearts with banners that were left empty. i then hand painted each and every one of them and wrote something different in each banner, a bit of an undertaking, but in my eyes it was worth it. i didnt get photos of any of them on their own, but Kelli from RedBull sent me this photo of the group as a whole, figured id share it with alla y’all…

yup, its true. i was obsessed with making these as a kid and was lucky enough to get Volcom to mass produce some for me. you should be able to order them direct from VOLCOM assuming you want some, they come in adult and youth sizes… WERD LIFE.
